The Arcticon Freestanding Fireplace is a best-selling bioethanol model, designed to bring warmth and a panoramic flame to any indoor space. The burner sits behind hot-tempered glass on three sides, while the hood distributes heat across the room. Just plug it in, no flue or chimney required. Available as a clean white fireplace or in jet black to suit your interior.

BEV (Bio Ethanol Ventless) is Planika’s patented automatic burner technology. Bioethanol is vaporised inside a sealed chamber and the vapour is what burns, never the liquid fuel itself. A microprocessor controls combustion and safety sensors monitor the burn at all times, making the Arcticon fully automated, ventless and safe for everyday indoor use.

Combustion is clean, with no smoke, soot or ash, so the fireplace looks impressive from every angle without leaving residue behind.

Can the Arcticon be used outdoors?

No, the Arcticon is designed for indoor use only. For outdoor settings, consider one of our gas patio heaters or outdoor bioethanol fire tables.

How long does one fill of fuel last?

A full 5-litre tank provides up to 20 hours of burn time on the lower flame setting, with proportionally less on the higher setting.

Do I need a flue or chimney to install the Arcticon?

No. The Arcticon uses BEV ventless technology and only needs a 230 V plug socket. Combustion is clean with no smoke, soot or ash, so no flue, chimney or vent installation is required.

What size room is the Arcticon suitable for?

The Arcticon is recommended for rooms with a minimum cubature of 35 m³ (around a typical lounge or living-dining area). The 3.5 kW heat output works well as a feature fireplace and supplementary heat source.

What fuel does the Arcticon use?

Use high-grade bioethanol fuel (95–96.6% concentration). We recommend Calida Premium Bioethanol Fuel for the cleanest, most efficient burn and to keep your warranty valid.

Can I change the colour after delivery?

No, the colour (Jet Black or Traffic White) is selected at the time of order and powder-coated to the housing. Please confirm your colour preference when enquiring or placing an order.

Is professional installation required?

No installation is needed for the freestanding model. Position it on a flat, stable surface, plug into a 230 V outlet and follow the included setup instructions. Bentley Bioethanol Fires UK can arrange supply and assisted installation if preferred.
