The Senso Built-In Fireplace is a complete plug-and-play solution for slotting a real flame into a disused chimney breast, custom housing or feature wall. The set combines the Planika Senso Burner with a fully non-combustible galvanised steel housing finished in matt black, with two detachable side panels so you can shape the opening to suit your space.

No flue, no chimney, no construction work, just plug into a 230 V socket and enjoy. Optional decorative grate and logs are available for a traditional fireside look.

BEV (Bio Ethanol Ventless) is Planika’s patented automatic burner technology. Bioethanol is heated inside a sealed chamber and turned into flammable vapours, so the vapour is what burns, never the liquid fuel itself. A microprocessor controls combustion and safety sensors monitor the burn at all times, making the Senso fully automated, ventless and safe for everyday indoor use.

Combustion is clean, with no smoke, soot or ash, so the fireplace produces real flame and warmth without the mess of a wood-burner.

Where is the Senso Built-In Fireplace designed to go?

The Senso is designed to slot into existing spaces such as disused chimney breasts, custom-built housings, feature walls or media units. The supplied housing is fully non-combustible, so it is safe to install in spaces surrounded by combustible materials such as plaster or wood.

Do I need a flue or chimney?

No. The Senso uses BEV ventless technology and only needs a 230 V plug socket. There is no smoke, soot or ash, so no flue, chimney or vent is required.

How long does one fill of fuel last?

A 1.3-litre fill provides up to 4.5 hours of burn time on the lower flame setting, with proportionally less on the higher setting. Refilling is automatic via the included fuel pump.

What size room is the Senso suitable for?

The Senso is recommended for rooms with a minimum cubature of 25 m³ (around a small lounge, bedroom or compact living-dining area). The 2.5 kW heat output adds gentle warmth as a feature fireplace and supplementary heat source.

Can the housing be customised to fit my opening?

Yes. The housing comes with two detachable side panels so you can shape the opening to suit your space, whether that is a deeper recess or a flush wall mount. The internal cavity must accommodate the burner itself (380 × 260 × 140 mm) plus clearance.

What fuel does the Senso use?

Use high-grade bioethanol fuel (95–96.6% concentration). We recommend Calida Premium Bioethanol Fuel for the cleanest, most efficient burn and to keep your warranty valid.

Is professional installation required?

The Senso is supplied as a self-install kit with a clear installation manual. For built-in installations into existing chimney breasts or custom housings, Bentley Bioethanol Fires UK can also arrange supply with an assisted installation service.
