The Planika Forma 800 3-Sided is an integrated bioethanol fireplace designed for front-facing flame visibility.

Bioethanol Burners Choose between two automatic burners for this fireplace:

FLA3: Up to 6 hours of burn time on a full refill
FLA3+: Up to 19 hours of burning time on a full refill

Both burners come with a remote control, WiFi, and Smart Home System control options. Featuring Planika’s BEV technology, these burners vaporize bioethanol before burning, ensuring a cleaner usage experience. Safety is enhanced with sensors like tilt, 3 temperature, overfill, and CO₂ sensors.

Materials Constructed with galvanized steel, powder-coated black, and tempered glass, the Planika Forma 800 boasts a timeless design. The glass not only adds to the aesthetic but also shields the flame from drafts.

Installation Installation is DIY-friendly with basic technical skills and no special certification needed. If inserted into a flammable wall, insulate using materials like Skamotec fire wall boards, fermacell boards, or fire plaster. Connect the fireplace to power, and ensure the wall above is self-supporting. Key installation notes:

Use fireproof material around the fireplace (e.g., Skamotec).
Connection to electricity is mandatory.
Install on a flat surface.

The Planika Forma 800 Three-Sided Fireplace is a complete bioethanol firebox insert with a three-sided wraparound flame view. It combines a non-combustible steel housing with the FLA4 590 BEV burner, ready to drop into a media wall, chimney breast or feature wall. No flue, no chimney, no construction work, just a 230 V plug.

BEV (Bio Ethanol Ventless) is Planika’s patented automatic burner technology. Bioethanol is heated inside a sealed chamber and turned into flammable vapours, so it is the vapour that burns, never the liquid fuel itself. A microprocessor regulates combustion and a suite of safety sensors (temperature, fuel level, seismic, spillage) monitor the burn at all times.

Combustion is clean with no smoke, soot or ash, so the firebox can be installed in custom housings without any flue, chimney or vent.

What does the Forma 800 Three-Sided Fireplace include?

The kit includes the Forma 800 Three-Sided non-combustible housing and the FLA4 590 BEV burner with refuelling pump, remote control and power cable. A matching glass screen is available as an option, sold separately.

Do I need a flue or chimney?

No. The Forma 800 Three-Sided Fireplace uses BEV ventless technology and only needs a 230 V plug socket. There is no smoke, soot or ash, so no flue, chimney or vent is required.

What size opening do I need?

The Forma 800 housing measures 800 mm in length. Plan the wall recess or media unit to accommodate the housing depth and clearance for service access. Detailed installation drawings are supplied in the manual.

How long does one fill of fuel last?

The FLA4 590 delivers up to 5 hours of burn time on the lower flame setting, with proportionally less on higher settings. Refilling is automatic via the integrated pump.

Can I install in a media wall or chimney breast?

Yes. The housing is non-combustible and rated for zero-clearance installation in flammable materials such as plasterboard, timber framing or MDF media units. Standard plug-and-play 230 V supply is sufficient.

What fuel does the burner use?

Use high-grade bioethanol fuel (95–96.6% concentration). We recommend Calida Premium Bioethanol Fuel for the cleanest, most efficient burn and to keep your warranty valid.

Is professional installation required?

The Forma firebox is designed for installation by a competent installer or experienced trade. Bentley Bioethanol Fires UK can supply only or arrange supply with an assisted installation service.
